Virtual Scavenger Hunt FAQ:

What is a virtual scavenger hunt?

A digital or virtual scavenger hunt (sometimes referred to as a "virtual escape room") uses technology (phones, tablets, or computers) to run through the scenarios to solve puzzles. The clues are completed by solving digital locks. Typically, these are answers to a question that must be answered correctly to unlock the next clue (or set of clues).

This scavenger hunt is completely free to play.  It requires walking around the inside of the library, a web browser, and an internet connection.

What age group is the escape room appropriate for?

The escape room has puzzles requiring logic, math, and spelling skills that most 2nd grade and up participants should be able to complete independently. It is great fun for kids, teenagers, and adults!

How long does it take to do the escape room?

The escape room should take about 30 minutes to complete but that can vary greatly depending on the age, ability, and size of the group of participants.

Can I share it with family/friends/coworkers?

Anyone is more than welcome to share this virtual scavenger hunt. We ask that if you share it on social media, please tag us (@PuyallupPublicLibrary) so we can see how far it has traveled. We only ask that no cost be associated with its use and credit be given to Puyallup Public Library.
