College Appreciation Week

College Appreciation Week: October 8 - 15, 2022

To recognize and celebrate the presence of WSU and Pierce College here in Puyallup, banners will line the streets in the downtown. Members of the community and alumni from both schools will gather to enjoy campus tours, a tailgate party, soccer games and a 5K fun run. Come be a part of the celebration! 


Tuesday, September 27th  - City Council Proclamation

The Puyallup City Council will issue an official proclamation declaring College Appreciation Week.

Saturday, October 8th - 5K Fun Run

10 am at Van Lierop Park. $10 to register; first 100 registrants get a free Tshirt. Special prizes for the lucky participants who find one of the rocks along the route that's been decorated with a school logo.

Saturday, October 8th - Pierce College Women's Soccer Game vs. Green River College

Noon at Heritage Recreation Center, 9010 - 128th St., Puyallup

Monday, October 10th - Spirit Day

Greet Monday with school spirit! Wear your school colors and logos with pride today.

Wednesday, October 12th - Pierce College Men's Soccer Game vs. Edmonds College

5 pm at Heritage Recreation Center, 9010 - 128th St., Puyallup

Thrusday, October 13th - Bradley Park Clean-up

Noon, Bradley Lake Park. Come spend an hour with other volunteers helping to clean up Bradley Lake Park for the enjoyment of all.

Saturday, October 15th - Tailgate Event

Watch the big game on a giant LED screen at the WSU Puyallup Research and Extension Center. Food and beer will be available for purchase, and tins of Cougar Gold will be sold at cost while supplies last. Kick-off is at **TBD**. A limited number of "Grabber" cookie ice cream sandwiches from Ferdinand's will be handed out free after halftime

Food trucks in attendance will be Stacks Burgers and Starvin Marvin's Hot Dog Truck. Rainier Growlers will handle beer sales to non-minors.
