Northwest Pipeline Replacement Project

Northwest Pipeline, LLC is in the process of replacing 140 miles of natural gas pipeline across Washington state. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued a joint Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) (PDF) for the Oregon and Washington projects. A segment of the Washington project called the “Sumner South Loop” includes approximately 3.5 miles of 30-inch pipe that runs through the city limits of Puyallup along easements, most of which are on private property. The pipeline company has already contacted or will contact owners of all the properties which contain an easement. Please check the map (PDF) to determine if your property has such an easement on or near it; if so, you are strongly encouraged to review the draft EIS.

For more information regarding this project and pipeline safety in general, email the Pipeline Safety Program at the Washington State Utilities and Transportation Commission.
