In light of the governor’s orders and public health guidance regarding social distancing, Puyallup Parks and Recreation is taking the following actions:
- All parks, including the skate park, are closed until further notice.
- The Puyallup Recreation Center is closed until further notice.
- All rentals — including community center rooms, park shelters, athletic fields — are canceled. We will work with renters to reschedule or give full refunds.
- All sports programs, community recreation classes and special events are suspended until further notice. Registered participants in current or future programs will receive emails regarding the status of their individual activity.
These changes may remain in effect through April 26th.
In addition, the Pavilion in Pioneer Park is closed through the end of March. It is possible that this closure may be extended beyond March 31st.
Our staff members are handling a high number of phone calls, and we ask for your patience as we work through these issues. We will update our website as developments warrant.
We recognize that the Puyallup Parks and Recreation Department provides important benefits and services to the community, and know these closures, suspensions and cancellations will have real impacts. We remain in contact with public safety agencies and will continue to evaluate this ongoing situation.
We encourage you to check the City of Puyallup website or our Facebook Page for updates or call the Recreation Center at 253-841-5457.
