Free COVID-19 Testing
Getting a home-collected COVID-19 test kit is easy as stopping by your local Pierce County Library branch! Pierce County residents, call your library to schedule a pickup during curbside hours. You can take the test in the privacy of your own home at the date and time that works for you. The kit includes simple instructions to safely take the test and drop it off at a UPS Store or UPS drop box. You can also request one from the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.
Free COVID-19 Mobile Testing
Visit Pierce County COVID-19 Testing for a list of locations throughout Pierce County. Get tested if you have symptoms or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19. Most health insurance plans cover testing and treatment for services necessary for COVID-19. The state insurance commissioner ordered all health plans his office regulates to waive copays, coinsurance and deductibles for people requiring testing for COVID-19. Copays and deductibles will still apply if you need treatment.

Care Connect Washington fulfills acute care needs by providing such things as personal care kits, nonperishable food kits, and fresh food orders delivered to their homes. If other essential needs are identified, such as financial assistance for paying bills, a local care coordinator helps people apply for local resources or services they may be eligible for, or provides them direct assistance in paying bills such as rent, mortgage, and utilities.
