Pierce County Cities Enter into Interlocal Agreement

The Cities and Towns of Puyallup, Sumner, Bonney Lake, Orting, Buckley, Carbonado, and Wilkeson are pleased to announce they have entered into a Emergency Management Interlocal Agreement. The City of Puyallup, as the lead agency, will be providing emergency management services including planning, preparedness, training, and exercise support to the participating jurisdictions. This agreement will provide the opportunity for regional planning and preparedness efforts that will strengthen the abilities of the respective jurisdictions to be able to respond to, and recover from, emergencies and disasters. The participating jurisdictions, also known as the East Pierce Interlocal Coalition (EPIC), are looking forward to working together to serve their communities in a coordinated and collaborative effort. Together, our region will be better prepared. To learn more, visit EPIC Emergency Management.

For questions regarding this partnership, contact Kirstin Hofmann, City of Puyallup Emergency Manager, via email or 253-841-5400.
