Computers
Computer use requires logging in with your Puyallup Public Library Card barcode and PIN. As of Summer 2023, we have 18 computer stations available on a first come, first served basis. Initial public PC logins are good for up to one hour. If there are no patrons waiting for access, sessions can be extended for up to a total of four hours per day. Sessions do not have to be consecutive.
Printing, Wireless Printing, and Photocopying
The public access computers share one copier for printing, copying, and scanning. Patrons can either login to one of the available computers and print or use our wireless print services to print from their own device. To access the print on demand service through your laptop, PC or mobile device, please visit our Wireless Printing website and follow the on-screen instructions. You will need a valid library card to use this service.
Printing and photocopying are valued at $0.10 per black and white page and $0.50 per color page. Patrons are given a virtual amount of $10.00 of printing per week at no cost. Any combination of black and white or color pages can be printed until the $10.00 limit is reached. Customers who have large print jobs that will exceed these totals are advised to visit a print shop or spread your print jobs out over multiple weeks. The library does not accept payments for printing or copying. Each Monday, your print total will be renewed to $10.00. The previous week's amount does not roll over. These dollar amounts do not correlate to actual cash, but are used to provide a guideline for users to monitor their print options and usage.
User Agreement
Computers may be used for up to four hours per day for card-carrying Puyallup Library patrons. Internet access requires acceptance of the Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Agreement.
Wi-Fi @ the Library
The Puyallup Public Library has free wireless internet access available for our patrons. Bring in your wireless laptop, smartphone, tablet, or other wireless device. Once you connect to the Library Public Internet Hotspot, open a browser. A screen will pop up with a checkbox that states you agree to the policies of the library while using this resource. Once the box is checked, the Wi-Fi will connect.
If you are not sure how to connect to our network, please ask any staff member in the library. Be aware that patrons who use the Library's Wi-Fi are subject to our Wireless Internet Access and Printing Policy.
