The School Resource Officer (SRO) Team is comprised of one SRO sergeant and two SROs. They are all a fully-commissioned, uniformed police officers assigned to maintain a safe and secure environment for students and educators at schools located in the city limits of Puyallup. The SRO positions are funded through a partnership with the Puyallup School District. The SROs respond to criminal activity on school grounds involving students and are also responsible for coordinating safety events such as student lahar evacuation drills and active shooter training for schools.
