[ARCHIVED] South Hill Neighborhood Plan Adoption

So Hill Neighborhood Plan infograph basic.jpg

The South Hill Neighborhood Plan, in development since 2006, is nearing its final adoption by the Puyallup City Council. The plan recognizes Puyallup's South Hill as a focal point for population and employment, and establishes specific land use goals and policies for the area as well as detailed development standards.

The South Hill Neighborhood Plan will change some of the zoning in this area. It addresses allowable uses, building height allowances, design review standards and levels, and various site requirements, including pedestrian access improvements. The land use and zoning changes are proposed to allow and encourage high density residential and mixed use commercial development within the South Hill Regional Growth Center.

The plan and associated documents are available on the city's website; see below. The City Council will consider second and final reading of an ordinance adopting the plan at its February 7th meeting. Interested persons are welcome to call Senior Planner Katie Baker for more information (253-435-3604), or address any concerns or comments to their representatives on the City Council.
