[ARCHIVED] Honor a Veteran Past and Present

Those looking to memorialize military veterans have the opportunity to do so by purchasing an engraved brick at the Puyallup Veteran’s Memorial in Pioneer Park.

The memorial is a monument to honor veterans, both past and present, who have died in service to their country and to those who serve or have served.  The statue was dedicated on Memorial Day in 2002.

The interactive memorial depicts a soldier bending down to help a comrade.  The soldier’s hand is extended, reaching out to the living, symbolizing the need to remember all those who have fought for freedom.

A bronze plaque is located at the memorial listing names of those from Puyallup who have lost their lives in war.  A small courtyard surrounds the statue, where bricks suitable for engraving have been placed.  Orders for memorial bricks are now being accepted through Friday, March 31, 2017.  Bricks may be ordered via Veterans Memorial Brick page or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 253-841-5480 or visiting the City Clerk’s Office at Puyallup City Hall, 333 So. Meridian.
