[ARCHIVED] Downtown Street Closure for Rodeo Parade Sept 8

Rodeo Parade

The Washington State Fair Rodeo Parade is Friday, September 8, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in downtown Puyallup. Meridian, from Main to 7th Ave, will be closed between 6 a.m. and Noon for the parade. Detour signs will be posted, and drivers must use alternate routes during the parade. Please refer to the parade route map below.

Event Details:

• Event hours are from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. on September 8, 2023.

• Event set-up will begin at 6:00 a.m. on event day. Load-out will be completed by 12 noon.

• Approximately 16,000 attendees are expected.

• Streets may be closed or have limited vehicle and/or pedestrian access between the hours of 6:00 a.m. through 12 noon.

• Music from marching bands and other parade entrants may be heard at the staging areas and throughout the parade.

• This event is open to the public. The City of Puyallup facilitates special events throughout the year. We are mindful of the impacts that some of these events may have on others and ask to be contacted with questions or comments so we can address any concerns.
