[ARCHIVED] Puyallup's Water: Best in the South Sound

Glass of water

Q: The City of Puyallup provides clean, safe water to its customers. What could be better than that?

A: Award-winning taste!

The City of Puyallup was recently declared to have the best-tasting water in the South Sound*, and will advance to compete with other water purveyors for the title of “Best in the Northwest.”

The water submitted for the competition was from Maplewood Springs, which gives rise to the headwaters of Clarks Creek. Maplewood Springs, together with Salmon Springs, supplies 76% of the city’s water. Read more about Puyallup’s water division and how it works to ensure the provision of safe, reliable water here.

*The South Sound subsection of the Pacific Northwest’s American Water Works Association includes the counties of Kitsap, Pierce, Mason, Grays Harbor, Thurston and Pacific.
