During Spring Clean-Up week, April 29th - May 4th, Puyallup utility customers may leave up to three extra bags of garbage for curbside pickup on their regular garbage pickup day. The garbage must be in covered cans or garbage bags and should not weigh more than 40 pounds. Tires will not be accepted.
Customers may also leave up to three extra containers of yard waste at the curb on their regularly scheduled yard waste service day the week of April 29th. Use garbage cans or bio-degradable lawn waste bags. Containers should not exceed 40 pounds and should be placed at the curb before 7 a.m.
This is also the time when customers can recycle one major appliance at no charge. Secure the doors of the appliance and leave it at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Monday, April 29th, no matter your regular collection day. Appliances eligible for recycling are: Refrigerator, freezer, stove/range, furnace, dryer, hot water tank, washer, dishwasher, trash compactor.
Finally, shredding services will be offered on Saturday, May 4th from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Cornforth Campbell parking lot in downtown Puyallup, located at the intersection of East Main and 3rd St. SE. Each household can bring up to six large shopping bags of documents for shredding. All shredding will be done on site so you can be assured that no sensitive documents will be transported in an unshredded condition.
