[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Regulations in the City of Puyallup

Fireworks sparkler

Many Puyallup citizens celebrate the Fourth of July by getting together with family and friends, barbecuing, and enjoying firework displays. Persons may set off consumer fireworks in the city limits of Puyallup from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on July 4th.

Consumer fireworks are the kind which can be purchased from various retailers or at licensed firework stands starting June 28th. Please note that many fireworks available for purchase outside of the city are not legal to own or discharge in Puyallup.

No one may discharge fireworks on a vacant lot, park, street or sidewalk without the permission of the property owner. Youth of 15 years and under are prohibited from possessing or discharging any fireworks unless directly supervised by an adult who is responsible for the underage person.

Puyallup's fireworks regulations are contained in chapter 16.20 of the city's Municipal Code.

Citizens can report fireworks violations by calling the non-emergency number of 844-821-8911. As always, report any emergency situations to 911.
