A section of Shaw Road north and south of 12th Ave. SE will be closed and inaccessible to through traffic for 24 hours starting at 8:00 pm this Friday, June 28th and ending by or before 8:00 pm on Saturday the 29th. Maps showing the closure location and detour route accompany this message.
This closure is needed for a deep sewer line installation. The work will first necessitate installing temporary equipment to reroute sewage while the new line is installed, and is therefore being done in one 24-hour period rather than over the course of three or four nights to avoid repeated installations and removals of the temporary equipment.
Puyallup police will direct traffic on either side of the closure for public safety. The contractor will retain the ability to accommodate emergency vehicles through the work area as needed by placing steel plates over the road cut.
