How do I know if my planting spot is in the right-of-way?
Generally speaking, the area between the curb/street and the sidewalk is the public right-of-way. If your street does not have curbs or sidewalks, it may be difficult to determine if your tree is planned to be planted in the right-of-way. Call the city's Engineering Services Department at 253-841-5491 to inquire.
